Bible...

Last Sunday (Feb 21st), before Sunday school, I noticed that my daughter was upset. Upon looking at my wife, she told me that Emma forgot to bring her Bible to church. I asked Emma how she managed to do that, and she said, with a tear in her eye "i dont know". My wife went on to tell me that if Emma doesnt have her Bible at sunday school, she would not get a sticker....I asked if Emma wanted one of my bibles, and she immediately cheered up. "Yes" she said. So off we went to my office and i gave her one of my bibles to use for Sunday school.
this makes me think and leads me to ask the question.. do you take your bible to church? Sure, seeing the verses up on PowerPoint in nice, but it's nicer yet to hold a copy of the Word of God in your hand.
You see, up until recently, church memebrs didnt have the luxiory of having a bible to use in church. The clergy were the only ones to have a copy, and they read passages to people on Sunday. As nice as that is, It's nicer yet to have people open up thier bibles and follow along... if we are supposed to be students of the Word, then shouldnt we bring our copy to church each Sunday? Just a thought...
